Welcome to the website of the Upper Cumberland Special Education Cooperative, a consortium of 17 school districts which serves the special educational needs of children in southeastern Kentucky. This site has been designed not only to provide you with the news and events of UCSEC, but also to allow you the prospect of signing up for the wonderful training, workshop and conference opportunities we have available.

2008-20089 Workgroup Training Open Now!

We are pleased to announce that 2008-2009 training sessions are now available. You can see all available training session in the 2008-2009 Workgroup/Training Schedule word document. You may register for trainings by emailing the presenter/contact person listed on the 2008-2009 Workgroup/Training Schedule.

How to Register?

Registration has now been modified to be as user friendly as possible. You will need to follow these simple steps:

1. Go to the Training Page
2. Click on the Session Title you want
3. Fill in your full name, email, school district and phone number.
4. Check your email for the confirmation email.
5. Do this for each session you want to register for.

Professional Development on CD.

Professional Development on Your Schedule!

The Upper Cumberland Special Education Cooperative is very excited about offering this new professional development opportunity to member districts. We currently have six (6) professional development CDs that are available for your individual or group use.

Please work with your Director of Special Education to ensure this type of session is compatible with the professional development requirements of your school district. You may view the entire document here.

Registration for P.D. by CD is now available in the Training Workshops section.

Important Changes

We have trainings that are designed and appropriate for all staff including new teachers and emergency/probationary certified teachers. Work Group/Cadre Trainings are designed for DOSE to assign participant(s) from district to participate in training. Just a reminder for when the snow flakes fall, if school is canceled in the host district, the training is also canceled as well.
